This ‘Weave’ is a post woven together using the words and phrases spoken by WisdomWomen members during a ‘planning’ call for our upcoming gathering at Esalen taking place Feb 1-3, 2019.
We have created a safe place for the feminine to explore itself and to rise. To see and remember what the feminine development journey is.
The structure of WisdomWomen needs to break open and expand for the men to be part of it. Opening to generative relationships: a non-patriarchal model. The feminine and masculine do not exist without the other. Finding each other in and through relationship. This is a time when we’re coming back into partnership. We are holding a space to explore. This new way we are going to partner is unusual. It’s decidedly different than how we’ve partnered before. Addressing the things that have been shifting under the surface in intentional ways.
In the Feminist movement we were doing it like men. We learned how one has to be to make a business, build something. This is part of our modern culture, a goal oriented thinking. It works up to a point, and then it doesn’t. Modern feminism has affected men badly. Where the anger fueled feminism, it couldn’t sustain. We fought for or against. It was about separation and individuation. It is now about creating love and life – and bringing back beauty. We haven’t been allowed to shine in our love and beauty.
This emergent theme is a great gift – it’s different. Something has been created in this amorphous, emergent thing that is a learning – it’s the essential feminine. It’s fuzzy, it’s not strident. We have to follow it rather than lead it. Balance the push and the flow. Receiving while bringing structure.
What happens when we’ve discovered ourselves more in the feminine and as women – when we have become more aligned with our way of doing things and our visions. This can help re-orient men and the masculine in ways that are more aligned with the planet.
We don’t want the old way, but doing it in a new way is hard, too. We are in the transition. How can we thrive doing it another way? How can the feminine work into the ways we live?
We are creating our world. Answering the call to be more open. We are supposed to live in community and in relationship with the land and nature. We are learning to live in communion with the Great Mother. Re-thinking money and Earth as dominion over our sustenance.
I was never invited to dream – mine were conditioned wishes. I have a basic longing to live my own magnificence and reflect it back in community.
We give ourselves permission to lay back and receive the blessings.
