This ‘Weave’ is a visionary statement woven together using the words and phrases spoken by Council members during live sessions.
Thriving through all phases of our lifecycle
Every child has a chance to thrive. Thriving is the norm, the expectation. Every child is born knowing that the adults around them, collectively, are going to make sure they thrive. This starts well before conception and continues through empowering births for women.
We have everything we need for health and healing. The community is a safe place. Listening, reflecting and thinking.
Community centers are built. These centers are hubs for child care, community organizing, organic gardening, clothing swaps, food exchanges, and regular gatherings. Here, people are in dialogue with each other.
Everyone feels a part of a helping neighborhood. People take care of each other and each other’s children. Elders are honored, cared for with dignity and live in a beautiful environment. Everyone feels empowered. Everyone’s talents are appreciated.
A community in homeostasis
When community members miss the mark, they have the opportunity to be held in loving energy. They can try again. Processes exist for us to heal. We hold circles to share feelings. We co-create a world from that shared understanding. We keep each other company. No-one feels alone, isolated or othered. We honor each other’s gender, sexual orientation, race, class, ability, and indigenous status. There is a deep understanding that love creates abundance.
There is an understanding of connectedness – a sense of shared destiny – with each other and with the planet. We understand that we are part of the family of things. We are actively interested in equality. We experience an equal representation of all skin colors in our culture. Everyone is beautiful in their own way.
Institutions, Networks, Resources
We create practices around embodied leadership, philanthropy, shame resilience and healing. Ideas become manifest because resources and networks are available to everyone. Money allocation is managed responsibly with love. There is a shared philosophy of connecting people to resources.
Education for children includes classes on emotions, our body and feelings. Spiritual centers offer access across identity and language. They are governed by humility, collaboration and contemplation. Priestesshood is earned and wisdom is cultivated. We take time for regular retreat to rejuvenate and renew, including tending to our bodies.
Women are leaders of these projects.
