In this Step Into the Circle podcast, Laurie Benson shares her work, both individually and in the Governance Council, in empowering the individual to act from their own best and truest nature, self-governance, and how these empower how we each show up in and co-create our world.
About Laurie: In 2013 Laurie started 1% For Women, focusing on empowering and uplifting women in agriculture on a global level. She truly believes that the empowerment of women is a crucial component to changing worldwide economic, environmental and social degradation. This organization blossomed into a transformational coaching career that supports women’s growth in self awareness and self care. Her greatest passion is uniting coaching, activism, and yoga, and merging self-care with positive change. This passion is the driving factor behind her programs such as The Awakened Woman Program.
Additionally, Laurie received hatha yoga teacher training in Costa Rica, and Yin certification in Boulder, CO. She is also trained through Off the Mat Into the World, using yoga as a tool to heal individuals and communities around the world. www.LaurieBensonCoaching.com
Leslie Frame-Crowley is a WisdomWomen Founding Member who believes in the power and necessity of sacred storytelling. Coming from a family with a strong tradition of story, and of understanding and connecting to the of the lives of her ancestors through genealogical study handed down from generation to generation, she connected very early on the the power, the fun, and the importance of story; our own stories, and our shared story. This calling has led her to the stage as an actor and to develop a love of writing. Step Into the Circle is a reflection of Leslie’s love of story. She believes that as we share our stories, our dreams, and our work, and as we celebrate other women as they do the same, connections are made, resources are shared, and creative hearts are nourished.
