WisdomWomen is a growing movement of women who believe it is time to look in a revolutionary new direction and build our world from a different paradigm. We are not asking whether or not this can be done. We are claiming that it is ours to do.
This Visionary Gathering will offer a deep dive into one of the themes that we are exploring as a community: Sacred Sexuality. We invite women who dare to express their radical visions and unique gifts in service to a world that honors the sacredness of women’s bodies and the body of our Earth. What is possible when women begin to co-create solutions for our world while utilizing their full life force?
During our gathering, attendees act as both leaders and participants. We co-create together by:
- Nurturing our souls and bodies through movement, ceremony and connection to the Earth
- Reclaiming and celebrating our bodies, sexuality, sensuality and the unique wisdom we each hold
- Expressing our ferocity to protect women, children and the Earth and our grief for how the loss of sacred sexuality has impacted our lives and our world (e.g. objectification in media, sex slavery, eating disorders, etc.)
- Envisioning and collaborating on initiatives that serve a world where our bodies and feminine wisdom are honored
Our convening team meets in advance to listen for the intention and flow of the gathering. Once we gather, we surrender to the emergent field that guides our time together. We invite the women in attendance to co-create the gathering.
Visionary Gatherings are a gateway experience for continued radical co-creation as a community. WisdomWomen’s ongoing Visionary Council on Sacred Sexuality, as well as our support network and other offerings, will nurture the possibilities we birth together.
WisdomWomen will be inviting women into this gathering through an application process so we can learn about our participants and weave them into the group. Click this link to fill out your application. Your application will be reviewed within 30 days or less of submission, after which you will receive confirmation and instructions for registration.
Tara Mandala is an international Vajrayana Buddhist community in the mountains of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. It is guided by Lama Tsultrim Allione, author of Women of Wisdom and Feeding Your Demons. Bordered by the San Juan National Forest and Southern Ute Tribal Land, the retreat center is on 700 acres of rolling hills and meadows, offering refuge and renewal. Its heart is the extraordinary three-story mandala Tara temple that houses statues of the 21 Taras.
The sacredness of this land and community makes it the perfect place to host our Visionary Gathering on Sacred Sexuality. You can learn more about Tara Mandala, accommodations and pricing information by clicking on this link. We recommend a visit to the amazing hot springs of Pagosa Springs before or after the gathering.
