An incubator for new initiatives that are birthed from the feminine collective.
Community Health Initiative
Project Lead: Alyson Contreras
The Community Health Initiative envisions a model of community health care that is truly health focused. This new model respects, educates and empowers each of us in our individual and collective needs for wellbeing. This community platform will be a place to share and receive wisdom, experiences, resources and recommendations that are aligned with our highest values. Together we can engage in an alternative to traditional health insurance that elevates our individual and communal health and recognizes our interdependence to one another and the Earth.
Project Lead: Michelle Stransky
Many have gathered to see The Man burn; now we come together to witness The Woman rise. RisingWoman is a radical experiment in community-building. An in-person experience of the new world. The exploratory themes of this temporary village are based off WisdomWomen’s Visionary Council topics. RisingWoman is a co-creative gathering intended to spark regional collaboration. Together, we tend to the land and leave it more beautiful. We create art as a gift to inspire the local area. This festival-like experience is open to all genders and is family friendly and drug and alcohol free. The first experience will take place August 9-12, 2018 in Boulder Creek, California.
The Oakland Education Collective

About the Collaboratory
How does the Collaboratory work?
WisdomWomen offers a container where feminine wisdom is engaged with and honored during the creation process. We unite a team of collaborators and advisors to work alongside project lead(s), and harness the resources of our community members to actualize these projects.
What principles guide the Collaboratory?
- A new way: projects will not replicate anything that has been done, and will not come about in a known fashion
- Service: initiatives have their own soul or life force – we are in service to them rather than leaders of them
- Emergence: we bring these projects to life through deep listening and surrendering to the unknown
- Embracing messiness: the process will grow and transform us through tension and conflict, and it will reveal our shadows
How are initiatives chosen?
Each initiative has a distinct relationship with WisdomWomen, and an alignment with the essence and intentions of our community. These initiatives arise through one or several members and show themselves when they are ready. Also, each of these initiatives is related to one of our Visionary Council themes.
How is the Collaboratory funded?
The financial contributions of our members fund the Collaboratory. These initiatives serve a greater vision that can impact our world and our lives, so we are putting our support and resources behind them.
